Minimum order is 200 square feet
$100 delivery for orders from 200 to 495 square feet
$50 delivery for orders from 500 to 995 square feet
Free delivery for orders of 1,000 square feet or more
Deliver Within 24 Hours
Why delivery within 24 hours matters
Sod is a living product, and freshness matters. Once sod is cut and stacked, heat can build up inside the pallet. If it sits too long, the sod can begin to yellow, weaken, and lose vigor before it reaches your property. That is why delivery within 24 hours of harvest matters. Select varieties, including Marathon® and St. Augustine, are vacuum cooled after harvest to approximately 50°F in winter and 40°F in summer to help preserve freshness before delivery.
How Your Sod Is Delivered
While we sell by the square foot to match your project’s exact needs, Sod we source is typically delivered on standard pallets for easy curbside drop-off. For Marathon® and Marathon® II, each full pallet contains 500 square feet, or 100 individual pieces. Each piece measures 15” x 48”, or 5 square feet, making them easy to handle, layout, and align for a seamless, professional-looking installation.
For specialty varieties like St. Augustine or Hybrid Bermuda, piece sizes may vary, but your square footage remains precise to your order.
Marathon Lite®: Easier on Your Back
Need something easier to handle? Ask about Marathon Lite®. It offers the same premium appearance and durability as standard fescue but is grown in a soil-less, peat-based medium. This makes each piece nearly 50% lighter than standard sod, making it a great option for DIY homeowners who want a professional-looking result without the extra weight and effort of traditional sod.
